MinterEllisonRuddWatts celebrates two new Band One rankings

Prestigious international law directory, Chambers Asia-Pacific, has released its latest research where it ranks New Zealand’s top law firms and legal professionals.

MinterEllisonRuddWatts is celebrating two new individual Band One rankings for Zane Kennedy in Dispute Resolution and Rachel Devine in Environment and Resource Management. The top tier firm has also seen individual improvements across other researched practice areas.

The results indicate small shifts in New Zealand’s top four large law firms, with most movement due to individuals.

“The results strongly indicate that our people are being recognised by the market for their expertise and we are performing well in a very competitive market,” says Chief Executive Andrew Poole.

“While other firms dropped individual rankings or saw demotions, we’re delighted that our rankings improved with three new individuals ranked and four partners gaining higher recognition.”

The firm’s newly ranked lawyers are:

  • Mark Forman, Partner, listed for the first time as a leading Corporate and Commercial lawyer
  • Andrew Horne, Partner, listed for the first time for the Insurance practice area, while retaining his ranking in Dispute Resolution
  • Shane Johnstone, Special Counsel, ranked for the first time for Investment Funds

Congratulations also to Neil Millar (Partner, Corporate and Commercial) and Steve Gallaugher (Partner, Banking and Finance) who were also promoted in their practice areas.

The Chambers Asia-Pacific Guide is the product of lengthy and thorough market research which sees several thousand lawyers and clients interviewed by their research team in the past year.

MinterEllisonRuddWatts now has 41 individual rankings across the 14 practice areas researched.
