Ben is a skilled corporate finance practitioner specialising in all aspects of public and private M&A, equity capital markets and joint venture work. Over a career spanning 17 years, he has advised major industrials, small corporates, private equity and financial institutions. Ben is also an experienced adviser on corporate law issues, including to listed companies, and has a wide variety of experience in diverse fields such as securitisation and Islamic finance.

Most recently, Ben spent five years working for Barclays Bank in London where he was responsible for all legal aspects of M&A and equity transactions conducted by the bank worldwide. In addition to his deep experience of financial services transactions, this gives him a unique insight into the needs of inhouse lawyers and helps him to provide incisive support to management and business leads on corporate transactions.

Prior to Barclays, Ben spent nearly 12 years at a UK magic circle firm where he advised a wide range of clients including Smiths Group, HBOS, Lloyds, Barclays, Fortis, Societe Generale, First Rand, Imperial Tobacco, Royal & Sun Alliance and Kelda Group.
