MinterEllisonRuddWatts’ deal making skills have been applauded at this year’s Australasian Law Awards.
The firm was awarded New Zealand Deal Firm of the Year for its work on some of the country’s most significant and iconic deals including advising Brookfield Asset Management on the New Zealand aspects of its acquisition of Healthscope – a deal that was named as both M&A Deal of the Year and the Australia Deal of the Year.
The team showed its depth with two of its Corporate M&A partners, Silvana Schenone and Mark Forman receiving excellence awards as New Zealand Dealmakers, sharing recognition in this competitive category.
Upon hearing of the results, Head of Corporate and Partner Silvana Schenone said:
“We are delighted with this recognition of the excellent outcomes we deliver for our clients. We are very grateful for the trust they place in us to deliver the best results for their businesses.
“This success is a credit to our excellent and talented team who apply their depth of skills to every deal we advise on.”
The awards celebrate and recognise excellence across the legal profession in both Australia and New Zealand.
The recognition follows MinterEllisonRuddWatts being named New Zealand Firm of the Year by the independent international research directory Chambers and Partners in April.
