Andrew is the head of the MinterEllisonRuddWatts tax team and a member of the partnership’s board. He is a chartered accountant and lawyer who has been a tax adviser since 1993.
Andrew is experienced in advising clients on all aspects of New Zealand tax laws, and assists on structuring business to be tax efficient and compliant from a New Zealand and cross-border perspective.
Andrew has particular expertise in corporate taxation and obtaining binding rulings from Inland Revenue, including corporate and trust structuring, tax disputes, rulings and settlements, employment and executive remuneration taxation and mergers and acquisitions.
He acts for employers with stock option plans and high net worth individuals looking to migrate to New Zealand. Andrew has advised domestic and international clients on the full range of taxation related matters.

Sacha is a tax specialist with more than 10 years’ experience in the public and private sectors. He has worked as a solicitor in Inland Revenue’s Binding Rulings Unit, been a tax manager in a “Big 4” accountancy firm and he’s held senior solicitor/associate roles in major New Zealand law firms.
Sacha provides advice to a range of different clients including large corporations, banks, private equity firms, SMEs, government departments and private individuals.
Sacha has significant experience in providing tax and structuring advice. His expertise spans mergers, acquisitions and divestments, tax due diligence reviews, restructures, property and leasing transactions, financings and securitisations, and general corporate taxation issues.
Sacha regularly assists clients with Inland Revenue dealings. His work includes providing help with binding ruling applications, disputes and tax audits, litigation and more general matters.
Sacha actively follows developments in tax law, so can help clients understand and take advantage of tax developments as they occur. He has authored various articles on topical developments and continues to publish tax editorial.
